Generate a QR code that connects a phone to your WiFi network automatically when scanned, so your guest never has to type the network name or password. It uses the standard WIFI: format, compatible with the native camera app on iOS and Android.
How it works
- Type your network's exact name (SSID), matching uppercase and lowercase letters.
- Choose the security type: WPA/WPA2/WPA3 (the most common), WEP, or an open network with no password.
- If your network has a password, type it in the corresponding field.

Common mistakes
- Typing the network name (SSID) with different uppercase or lowercase letters than how it actually appears.The SSID is case-sensitive. Copy the exact name from your router's settings or from the list of WiFi networks on your phone.
- Selecting 'No password' for a network that actually does have one.If your network requires a password, select WPA/WPA2/WPA3 (today's most common standard) so the password field gets included in the code.
