How it works

Each duration is internally converted to total seconds. When all rows are added or subtracted, the result in seconds is converted back to hours, minutes, and seconds, so, for example, 90 seconds is correctly shown as 1 minute and 30 seconds.
Yes. If the total comes out negative, the calculator shows it with a minus sign (−) before the result, so you know the subtraction exceeded the sum.
Yes, you can enter decimal values (for example, 1.5 minutes), and the calculator will correctly convert them to seconds before adding the total.
